What to Bring to Orientation

August, Freshman Orientation Session (in-person)

2024 Session 4 

As a reminder, freshmen attending the 2-day August orientation session will move into their fall housing assignment before Orientation begins.  You will receive email communication directly from the Department of Residence Life with detailed instructions about your day and time for move-in.  Students living off campus will commute from their off campus location both days or session 4 Orientation.

 

June, Freshman Orientation Sessions (in-person)

2024 Sessions include: Sessions 1, 2, and 3

As a reminder, freshmen attending a 2-day June Orientation session are provided on campus housing to stay overnight on campus during Orientation unless you have opted to stay off campus in a local hotel or at home. Attendees staying on campus should plan to bring:

  • Extra long twin-sized sheets, two twin-sized flat sheets, OR a sleeping bag
  • Pillow
  • Blanket
  • Towel
  • Personal toiletries and any medications
  • Alarm clock (You are required to be on time to all Orientation events.)
  • Comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes
  • Umbrella or rain jacket, just in case
  • Pen and pencil
  • Money for optional activities
  • Athletic attire
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle
  • Phone charger
  • Unofficial copy of high school transript

One-Day Fall Orientation Sessions (in-person)

 Sessions include: Transfer Orientation Session E - August 8, 2024

Attendees should plan to bring:

  • Comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes
  • Umbrella or rain jacket, just in case
  • Pens/pencil and something to write on
  • Money for optional activities
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle
  • Unofficial copy of transcripts from previous institutions

 

One-Day Spring Orientation Sessions (in-person)

Sessions include: New and Transfer Stuent Orientation Session A - Jan. 10, 2025

Attendees should plan to bring:

  • Comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes
  • Umbrella, coat or rain jacket, pending weather
  • Pens/pencil and something to write on
  • Money for optional activities - bookstore
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle
  • Unofficial copy of transcripts from previous institutions
